A simulator can be developed for screens, the web, mobile devices or virtual reality. It can also include conversations with characters or connect with a training system. We define devices, testing conditions and the scope of validation before implementation.
Questions about this solution
Does the simulator have to use virtual reality?
No. The choice depends on the task, audience and context. A screen-based experience may be appropriate when spatial immersion is unnecessary.
Does it replace mandatory training or certification?
That equivalence is not assumed. The simulator is designed for the agreed purpose; certification requirements and validation must be defined with the organization and the relevant stakeholders.
